About EMS DJ Services

EMS Disc Jockey Services started with Eric Michael Smith at the age of 14. He was persistant in starting a DJ business after seeing his brother Aaron and Angie Smith's wedding. He was dazed by the lights and the music, knew thats what he wanted to do.

As a young kid very little was save for equipment so he started looking around first using two speakers from a garage sale and using his mom and dads sorround amplifier. This was the first system and went through five weddings and one school dance.

With the increase of business he bought a Behringer Mixer (that is still used today!), Behringer Amplifier, and Peavey 15" Speakers. With this system he accomplished 20 weddings in one year time span by advertising on gas station bulletin boards, grocery stores, and restuarants. Attending his first bridal show at age 16 he increased from 20 weddings to 50 wedding in one year time span. With the increase he bought another system so he could run two systems in one night.

His right hand DJ was Dustin M. McKibben who DJ with Eric for 4 years and moved to Rochester, NY for college to pursue a photography degree. He encouraged Eric and Dustin helped with how the system looked for the customer or guest.

Now 2009 season Eric is still growing rapidly with a record season in weddings, corporate parties, and school dances. EMS DJ Services is able to do Livesound, Wedding, Corporate, Sweet Sixteens, Private Parties, and MUCH MORE!
